3. Elemental Sight has useful applications. Genshin Impact – 11 details you might have missed
Table of Contents
While completing the first story missions in Genshin Impact, players discover Elemental Sight, the x-ray vision that's so popular in all kinds of recent games. For most of the game, this ability seems useless – we only use it to discover an opponent's element or a specific attack. However, it is worth remembering that the skill has some very useful applications – you can more easily locate the spirits of shrines. Use Elemental Sight to reveal traces leading to the location of the spirit.
4. The community loves its characters. Sometimes too much
Genshin Impact has an extremely diverse character roster. Each person has their own unique powers, but also personality and backstory. While we actively use four of them in the gameplay proper, nothing stops us from obtaining all the characters. Just don't you dare publicly criticize them! And don't suggest adding some fancy or skimpy outfits in the form of skins – Genshin Impact players won't be pleased.
It turns out that the more avid Genshin Impact fans are willing to fiercely defend their digital avatars. While there are plenty of community-created guides online, and no shortage of support groups and friendly players offering help, much of the "community" is simply toxic. A short trip to the discord channels dedicated to Genshin Impact might make you start doubting humanity.
Players become overly attached to virtual heroes, treating them as idols. Anyway, there has already been a situation where a knifeman rushed into miHoYo's studio, all because of a character skin from another game. I am not generalizing the entire community, but it often happens that people take this game too seriously.
5. Mini-games? Pick and choose
Genshin Impact is not just a Breath of the Wild-type game where the open world, exploration, and combat are the biggest selling points. The developers added quite a number of mini-games, and some of them were cleverly hidden, or are part of specific events. For example, the production offers its own spin of Fall Guys, target practice, or strumming on a small harp as part of a rhythm game – just look up the event tab in the menu. There's also no shortage of arcade challenges, involving gliding or avoiding obstacles.
6. Mining is tedious? Use a two-handed weapon!
Mining, or digging rocks, is an important part of Genshin Impact – it's how we get materials for crafting. If you think this an extremely tedious activity, it's probably because you're using the wrong weapon. A bow or a one-handed sword won't do – use a two-handed weapon and it will be much faster. You can also use Explosive Abilities or Geo Elemental abilities, which are also great for fast resource extraction.
7. The unluckiest character is...
Bennett! Players often choose this hero because he is perfect as a support character. Nevertheless, given his past, he is not the most popular person in the world of Genshin Impact. His bad luck is legendary, making him the sole member of "Benny's Adventure Team." To emphasize the misfortune and bad fortune of this character, the creators even gave him a very specific birthday – February 29. As a result, Bennett celebrates them once every four years...
