Something's off with my Settlers
The Settlers return in the eighth installment, entitled New Allies. This title will be a revolution, giving up the characteristic graphics in favor of a more pastel setting. In terms of gameplay, in turn, we will return to era of parts three and four. Sounds good? The problem is that the price is quite forbidding, and the opinions so far aren't very flattering.
Part eight – return to grace?
The Settlers: New Allies steps more towards a typical RTS, marginalizing the economic aspects. The gameplay lacks depth of previous installments, and the economy was thoroughly simplified. As a result, there's not much Settlers in all this. On the other hand, the game is more accessible and should appeal to a younger audience.
