The Patrician series is another brand in our ranking with a really long history. Its first edition appeared on the market in 1992 as a debut project of the now non-existent German studio Ascaron Entertainment. Despite some flaws in game mechanics, it turned out to be a great success.

Our task is to make a fortune and advance in the social hierarchy to the rank of a patrician or even a chief of the Hanseatic League.

However, our commercial activities do not have to be limited only to legal business transactions. We can also take part in piracy or smuggling to make some fast profit. An additional source of income can be obtained by investing in the development and expansion of cities, which translates into a significant increase of cash from taxes.

Patrician IV, developed by another studio, did not fully meet the expectations of fans of the series.

The history of Patrician series does not end with the third installment, described by us in this compilation of tycoons. After the bankruptcy of Ascaron Entertainment, some of the studio's employees were employed by the Gaming Mind Studios team owned by Kalypso Media. Patrician IV, a game produced by this team in 2010, although much more visually attractive, did not repeat the success of its highly regarded predecessors. As you might have already guessed, the title depicts a pizza business set in a sunny Italy. However, this is not a simulation of a poor, provincial restaurant, but of a powerful corporation. In the game we play the role of a restaurant's boss, and our tasks include looking for places for new premises in the centers of big cities, hiring new employees and taking care of their efficiency, as well as sabotaging our competitors.

In this last element, we can use illegal activities - from mere intimidation and sabotage, planting of vermin and rats, sending police raids, hiring bandits and gangsters, up to real terrorist acts. A nice addition is the ability to create your own dream pizza from a scratch using dozens of ingredients available in the game.

Although the graphics design of Pizza Connection 2 has naturally become much older (game was originally released in 2001), it still can be played without a disgust, especially since it's available on the most popular digital stores. .

Despite the neat visual design of Pizza Connection 3, it certainly did not meet expectations.

It is worth noting that although the series remained inactive for quite a long time after the bankruptcy of the Software 2000 studio, in spring 2018 - seventeen years after the release of the previous part, we received Pizza Connection 3.
