Thomas Was Alone is a unique platform game with a minimalist setting, in which we control single-colored geometric figures. The visual simplicity is made up for by the audio layer. The gameplay is actually quite banal, but the story the narrator adds to it is a little masterpiece.
Each rectangle and square has a name, a character, and specific relationships with other figures. It sounds absurd and it is a bit like that, but it clearly shows that it is enough to have a background story for jumping lumps to be able to attract to the screen even for a few hours. There's nothing to look for in Thomas Was Alone for a bigger platform challenge - it's just a game where we can relax and laugh under our breath once in a while.

I played Streets of Rage on slot machines when I was in elementary school.
We used to test such games in episodes. We would buy chips, put them in a big box and get a couple of lives. We got as far as our skills and funds would take us each time, and then we had to start from scratch. Therefore, these games seemed quite long.
Today, when we don't have to spend zillions on more lives, completing Streets of Rage 4 is fun for one evening. Let's just add that it's a lot of fun, although not everyone will like the essentially simple gameplay model. Our job comes down to going ahead and beating people up.
