Chapter 3 - 201 Dreamfall Guide

You lose faith, but...life goes on...

Zoe' ll arrive to the Newport. Rainy, horrid weather, so hard to believe that it is the middle of day. Zoe'll get out from taxi and go down narrow street to the abandoned market.

She will go to the one stall, where old Chinaman commends his not very interesting commodities, but he will tell her, where is exactly 'The Fringe'. Zoe should go straight ahead and before the end of the street she must turn left and go through the tunnel. There will be ' The Fringe'.

Zoe'll push the button and after the short talk with Charlie, she will go inside. There, a not very nice hostess will point Zoe to the bar's direction, where is Charlie sitting at a table. On the beginning Charlie will reluctantly answer the questions, but at last he will say that yesterday he has met Reza, who probably go to the Hotel Victory, which formerly was the Border House.

After that, Zoe'll go out and go back to the old market. Nearby the Chinaman there will be a staircase, so she will go up, cross the bridge and turn right in the pink neon's direction, then she will turn left ( Marco Polo Street ). For the moment she will turn right and stand in front of Hotel Victory. Unfortunately, nobody will react on the sound of the bell. Zoe will turn left and climb down to the water.

Zoe'll go straight ahead. When she will be in the second corridor, she will see light through the boarded - up window. Also, she will notice a dumpster, which she can climb onto it. On the bottom Zoe'll remark a metal bar connected with wheel, so she will pull the bar out and push the dumpster four times. The she will climb onto it, but she can't open the window.

Zoe' ll decide to climb up the ladder. In this way she will get in front of Hotel Victory's fencing and see a gate, which is locked with a padlock, so Zoe'll call Liv. Olivia'll say that Zoe must have a lockpick.

Zoe'll come back to the market and talk with Chinaman. The old man will promise to give her the lockpick, but for that he wants the cloak for mobile phone, so Zoe'll again call Liv and give him a cloak.

When she'll have the lockpick, she will back to the fencing and try to unlocked the gate. It is the next puzzle almost so easy like first. You have four chambers with four symbols round of all them. These symbols, which are located on the left and right sides ( 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock ), are common, which means that you can match them. Over and under each chamber are also symbols. This are the keys that you must slot them into other symbols.

The riddle is random. Yours symbol's setup will be different than mine. There is no time limit.

When you will do it, Zoe'll immediately notice a sleeping guard dog. She must sneak, because walking will wake dog up. Move only when the train is driving. You'll see locked hotel's back door and notice a bloody mark on the door. On the opposite side is small building, where the door will be partially open.

Zoe'll go inside (remember for all the time to holding Ctrl ), take the axe hanging on the wall and climb down the ladder. Then she will climb onto the dumpster again and use the axe to destroy the boards covering the window. Zoe'll drop her axe inside, so she will go inside too and pick up a axe handle lying on the floor.

Probably it is a boiler house, because there is a boiler. Zoe'll push the button on the boiler and see flame. It is a lighter. She is looking around, takes a rag and notices that one of the cans smells petrol.

She will combine the rag with the axe handle to make a torch, dip it into the petrol, go to the boiler, press the button and light the torch. Now, she will have a burning torch and can go further.

Zoe'll walk, when suddenly she'll see blood marks on the floor. Also, she will find Reza's lighter. Metal door will open automatically and Zoe'll be in the security room. On the monitors she will see the video with mysterious little girl. The girl will be in room 201.

Zoe must open a locked door , so she will hack into the monitors using her mobile phone as she did it earlier.

When she will do it , she should go upstairs and the door will be open. She'll see a guy, he's sitting on the sofa in next room. Zoe is looking on heating up pizza. She'll speed up inclusion of alarm.

Obviously the man will go to the kitchen and talk with Zoe. The conversation will be doing more and more unpleasant and may end fight. The opponent will be not so easy...

You can throw him off if you don't want to fight. Talk about vacancies, lie to him, stay calm and ask about the manager. Now you will have a little time to look around before the guy will check what are you doing.

Zoe'll go upstairs and then turn right. In the next dilapidated room she will find a girl connected for the same device as dead woman in Reza's flat.

Zoe'll leave the room and on the hallway she will see the door to the room 201, of course locked. Zoe'll go to the bathroom and take a window handle, then she will go to the next room just below the stairs. It has a window without handle, so Zoe'll open it using the window handle. She will climb through the window and climb down the ladder.

Then she will climb through another window, leave a room and see a man. He's going to the bathroom. When he will vanish, Zoe'll carefully go to the bathroom and take a towel.

Then she will go to the man's room, but now he is sleeping. Zoe has two options: she may fight with him ( and after that she must fight also with the caretaker) or she may wait for the moment that the man will wake up and leave his room. Then she will take a sheet.

After that she will find a window. She'll combine a rope with the towel and sheet, climb out the window and go through the room 201. It is the old April room, but Zoe obviously doesn't know anything about it. Zoe'll open the wardrobe and take a picture. She will recognize a man on the photo - it is Charlie. Two unknown for Zoe girls that will be of course April and Emma

Suddenly to the room enter a man. His name is Marcus. Zoe'll talk with him and they will establish to meet in ' Fringe', because for 1000 yuans Marcus will promise that he learn something about what can happened with Reza. Marcus'll lead Zoe out of hotel and she will go to the ' Fringe'.

Zoe'll talk with Charlie and show him the picture. Charlie'll tell Zoe that ten years ago his friend April Ryan vanished. Zoe'll tell Charlie about her visions. Charlie'll decide that Zoe should meet with Emma. When he will hear about Marcus, Charlie will say that he's his old friend.

Later Zoe, Emma and Charlie will talk about April, two worlds and Arcadia. Emma believes that April is still alive, but Charlie is rather sceptical.

Just then Zoe 'll want to make a phone call, so she is going upstairs to one of the VIP rooms. She will try to call Reza, but he's still not available. Then Marcus'll come in, but he's with twins that attacked Zoe earlier in Reza's flat. After moment you will see Zoe connected to the this strange device...
