Keeping health and happiness on high levels is a crucial element in terms of your citizens' existence - low morale will lower productivity, while low health increases vulnerability to cold and diseases. Below you'll find pieces of advice that will make keeping high levels of happiness and health easier:
- First of all, collect enough food, firewood and coats - even a short scarcity of them will have a negative effect on health and happiness of the townsmen.
- When developing the town, invest in a hospital - it's the only line of defence against plagues that will sooner or later affect your town.
- Keep a right balance between citizens and nomads - too many nomads may lower the morale of natives.
- Educated citizens are not only effective workers - they're also happier, so it's a good idea to spend some resources on education later on in the game.
- Provide a variety of food - it improves citizens' immunity to diseases and their happiness.
- Take care of citizens' spirituality - Build a cemetery, where they can visit their dead relatives, you should also build a chapel after some time.
- Provide your citizens with entertainment - when the town is developed, build a tavern, where tired workers can rest and drink some beer.
