Agony begins as you're thrown into hell. Your first task is to make a sacrifice of human hearts for the Red Goddess.

Approach the gate. You will find a torch right in front of it. Pick it up and enter the gate. Burn the branches on the floor by throwing a torch on them.

Heart sacrifice

In the new location you will see the gate and two pairs of stairs. On the upper right staircase you will find the first heart, glowing in violet. Place them on the scales in front of the stairs.

You will only find your second heart once you have jumped to the lower floor. You will be sent there to an abandoned prison. Your heart is in the first abandoned cell you will reach.

Walking around in prison you will meet a possessed man. After you talk to him, he will burn himself and the cell. Go inside; if you go further you will see the exit upstairs. Go there and put your heart on the scales. When you do this, another passage will open up for you.

When you enter the gate, you will be troubled by different visions. The environment around you will be constantly changing. But you have to keep moving. You will reach the cliff. You have to jump from it.

Skull sacrifice

After jumping from the cliff, another quest will be triggered. You will have to find 3 skulls and place them in a certain place. First, however, you will get locked.

In order to escape the pitfall, you have to solve the symbol puzzle. You will see the Sigil sign written on the stone. You have to find another mark to learn what to draw. The other mark is right next to it, on the rock. Just approach it and interact with it.

Then it is enough to come up to the first Sigil and draw the proposed shape. This will open the passage.

The first skull can be found on the shrine. It will be marked with an appropriate sign. It is shown on the screen above.

To find the next skull you have to follow the path marked with the sign, as on the screen above. There is a skull on the shrine. When you follow the path to the right you will reach the place where you have to place the skulls. Set the two you already have there.

You will find the last skull by following the road marked with an x. Around it, demons will be hurling -throw a torch to distract them. Then crouch and hold your breath. This way you can easily get your last skull.

Return to the point with the skulls. When you set them all up in the right place, the road will open up for you. Go over the bridge to the next location.

Exploring deeper levels of hell

After climbing the bridge, you have to go right. Only when you enter the area will the environment change. After this change you have to go back and go straight. This will be a completely different path from the previous one.

After a while, a road full of branches will appear before your eyes. You have to turn into the second one. There you will find a glowing purple bridge. Go up the hill with it. There you will meet a man you can talk to. After this conversation, you must go down again to the next part of the location.

You are on the red, closed gate. You will need to draw a Sigil sign to open it. The signs are drawn on the walls around the gate. But you have to choose the right one. This is the third mark on the right. It is indicated by the Martyrs scattered around the room. If you remember this sign and draw it on the gate, a passage will open.

Go through the passage, then go straight and right. You will reach the pink tunnel. There will be a bridge over it, which you have to climb. When you do this, you will get to the upper floor of hell.

When you move forward, you will encounter a monster that will attack you, so run away immediately. After the escape you will get to the next location, you will be able to save the game there. You must enter the tunnel on the left to continue your journey. Be careful, because the walls in it are moving -this can injure your hero.

On the other side of the tunnel there is a demon lurking on you. Take in the air deeply and try tempting to pass by it. This will avoid the death of the demon in your hand and allow you to continue travelling freely. After a short hike, you will reach the Spider Cave on a straight road.

Spider Cave

A task awaits you in the Spider Cave. You need to find 6 skulls and put them into bowls. The skulls are placed in the open iron maidens.

The skulls are placed in two rooms. You can switch between them by means of a portal in the shape of a letter T. This portal is shown in the screen above. There is a monster in every room. You have to run away from it, but if it catches you, it can be pushed away by moving the mouse.

Two skulls are located on the main road, two more on almost the left side and two last on the left side of the room. Each of them lights up, so it's easy to find them in a dark room. When you place them all in the bowls, a new portal will open.

Following the demon

After going through the portal, you will see a cutscene. After it ends, you will have to descend to the very bottom and save the game. Go right. To cross the ravine, you have to leave your body and possess a Martyr on the other side.

On the other side, go right and then left. A female demon will appear shortly after. After a short conversation, you will have to follow her. Jump over the hole in the ground and run straight ahead. After a while you will reach two roads. Enter the crack on the right. After you do that, she will appear again on the same path. This time, enter the crack on the left. The demon will appear in front of you again - she'll lead you to the next location.

You will reach a location guarded by a demon. In order to get there, you have to distract the monster. Take a deep breath, go down and go to the right. There you will notice some branches blocking the way. Burn them and reach another part of hell.

You will reach another location, with loads of demons, but none of them will attack you. Go to the other side by possessing a Martyr. Jump across and enter the tunnel. After exiting it, turn right. There's an apple lying on the table there.

Next to tables is a bridge. Take it and get upstairs and then reach the T-shaped portal. It will take you to the next location.

Heart sacrifice and the opening of the door

After going through the porta, you will get to a location full of water. There will be a great red gate there, as well as two empty bowls. You have to place four hearts inside of them. The hearts are scattered around the room - not underwater, but on shelves. They glow, so it's all pretty easy.

In order to open the gate, you have to find their mark. The symbol can be located on the left from the figure of the devil, on the wall. The place is shown on the screen above.

After opening the gate, enter it and jump down. This will trigger a cutscene and save the game.

You don't need the hearts to open the gate. They do, however, open a different passage. There will be a demon inside, along with a few collectables.
