Strategy 26 October 2018

An economy simulation strategy game developed by SomaSim and inspired by the 1994 Sim Tower by Maxis. The action of Project Highrise takes place in modern times, and the player assumes the role of the manager and the architect of a skyscraper under construction. The production isn’t fully realistic since the building is erected in stages so that the completed floors can be used by inhabitants and workers, providing us with the money necessary to complete the construction of the remaining levels.

An old school shooter based on arcade classics from the Canadian team Vertex Op. We Are Doomed doesn’t have any plot, and we control a small group of polygons trying to break through a group of enemy polygons. Our main weapon is a powerful laser cannon, which can be charged to shoot more powerful attack, but at the price of deactivating it for a few seconds. There are two main game modes.

An action-adventure game for mobile devices, set in a fairy-tale land, in which a sea deity, enraged by the greed of man, turned humans into fish-like monsters. The protagonist, one of the survivors, leaves her family island in search for her kidnapped brother. The gameplay of Legend of the Skyfish focuses on exploration of varied environments, gathering new pieces of equipment, solving various puzzles, and fighting enemies.

A sandbox action-adventure game and the debut project from the independent team at Paranoid Productions. The Church in the Darkness takes us back to the late 70s, and the story focuses on a pair of characters – followers of a radical cult, who run away to South America and try to create a utopia in the jungle. We play as a policeman named Vic whose nephew joins the mysterious church, so he travels to the aforementioned place to check if the boy is alright.

A surrealistic arcade game from the Polish Evil Indie Games studio, set in an alternate version of the year 1994. It shows a grim, retrofuturistic vision of future, as imagined in the 70’s. In the age of a totalitarian regime that tries to break all opposition, we play as an ordinary clerk, who is given the task of delivering a message to someone known as the Ice Queen.

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation is a remake of the popular 1988 jRPG game. Production offers a powerful world, mostly open-structure, turn-based combat system and an extensive system of classes. Compared to the 8-bit prototype, graphics have been improved and the gameplay has been enriched with several new elements.

A science fiction adventure game developed by Kyodai. The developers were inspired by the works of Arthur C. Clarke, Frank Herbert, and Stanislaw Lem. The player assumes the role of Catherine Jones; the heroine is on a space journey aboard the Pilgrimage II ship when she unexpectedly loses consciousness. Having awakened, she discovers that the vessels is abandoned, while Kazumi, the on-board artificial intelligence, is damaged and trying to take complete control of the ship.

A 4X strategy game by the Polish developer, Wastelands Interactive, created as an improved version of their 2015's game, World of Magic. Planar Conquest is set in a typical fantasy universe inhabited by various races. However, the story is marginal and the game is focused on a never-ending struggle for dominance, waged using sword and magic. Gameplay mechanics draw inspiration from Master of Magic, the cult strategy game by Micropose.

Adventure 2024

A science-fiction action-adventure game featuring survival elements. It is the first major project of KeokeN – an independent Dutch developer. The player is taken to the year 2069, when humanity has to face total depletion of natural resources. Established by governments of world powers, the Worldwide Space Agency decides to resume the exploration of the Moon's surface and the player is cast in the role of an astronaut sent there among others.

An arcade-logic game developed by iFun4All, and a sequel to Red Game Without a Great Name released a few months earlier. In terms of mechanics, the sequel follows the premise of the original game, but with a different set of rules. The players once again assume the role of the mechanical bird, the task of which is to safely reach a destination.

A hilarious arcade/logic game which is the successor to the popular Tennis in the Face, created by the same developer - 10tons. The player assumes the role of the legendary player, Gabe Carpaccio, who finishes his sports career as a result of an accident and begins to sell sports equipment instead.

A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build is an unusual logic game developed by the indie studio Draknek. As the title suggests, we will be building snowmen. We play as a monster that rolls balls of snow and sets them in the right order. Each snowman is made of three snowballs. The biggest one forms its base, the medium one works as its torso, and the smallest one is its head. Our task is not as easy as it may seem. There are many obstacles in our snowballs’ way.

The comic book-inspired character of Turok, a Native America named Tal Set, fulfills a centuries-long tradition of his people, serving as Mother Earth's protector from dangers posed by the inhabitants of the Lost Land.

A mobile platform game from an independent Finish studio Muro, which evolved from a simple but successful project initiated by a few Alto University students. In Shadow Bug, we assume the role of a militant worm armed with two swords. The protagonist's job is to clear the forest of the hostile bugs and other opponents. During the gameplay, we traverse successive levels, in which we meet a whole bunch of different enemies and a large number of traps, which often require some cleverness.

A side-scrolling shooter developed by the independent Pixelnest Studio. The player sits at the helm of a spaceship, their task is to eliminate subsequent waves of incoming enemies. We encounter both ordinary, numerous opponents that aren’t too difficult to defeat as well as more rare bosses that require devising a special tactic to beat them. In Steredenn, we are not defenseless and the ship we pilot can be equipped with 35 kinds of weapons and 25 enhancements that we unlock with progress.

A new installment of an unusual RPG from Defiant Development, enriched with board and card game elements. Similarly to its predecessor, the player is tasked with taking on the challenges created using cards rolled by a magical enemy, called The Dealer. Thanks to the efforts of the previous protagonist, he was defeated, but the hero was0 corrupted by his own power, and became a bloodthirsty tyrant. The Dealer returns to train a new hero, capable of facing his predecessor.

A fantasy roguelike RPG developed by Digital Sun Games, an independent Spanish studio. The action of Moonlighter takes place in a remote merchant town where the protagonist, Will, runs a store. His ambition is to become a true hero, but to make the dream come true, he has to gather adequate equipment and master a variety of useful abilities first. The production’s mechanics combine elements of a classical roguelike RPG and a trading card game.

A racing game dedicated to an annual racing series known as one of the most dangerous street circuits in the world – Isle of Man TT Race, a famed motorcycle sport event that had its first edition in 1907. In 1949-1976 the event was a part of FIM Motorcycle Grand Prix World Championship, however as a result of numerous controversies following the safety of the racers and spectators the series have been removed from the championships calendar.

It was developed by Perfectly Paranormal - an independent game-making studio. The game tells a story of the titular Samuel, who has just died as a result of an accident. In the Afterlife he meets Death, with whom he makes an unusual pact.

A dynamic action platform game in which the player, as the titular ninja warrior, faces an army of robots. 10 Second Ninja X is an improved version of 10 Second Ninja, a game that was released in 2014 on personal computers. Both titles were developed by independent studio Four Circle Interactive. On each level the player is tasked with eliminating robots scattered across the map as fast as possible – by using either katana or firearms.

A thriller adventure game by Wadjet Eye Games. You play as a person, who for the last six months was possessed by a demon using their body to wreak havoc in New York. The protagonist was exorcised by the eponymous organization, which fights dark forces, and decides to join it, having lost their previous life, including their home, family, and friends. During the game, you explore locations, talk to NPCs, gather useful items and solve puzzles.

Faeria invites the players into an old fantasy world, home to humans as well as other intelligent species. The game puts emphasis on the lore and contains much additional information about the fictional universe. As for the gameplay, Faeria represents an unorthodox approach to the card game genre. Duels between two players are the foundation of the game.

An FPP survival horror that employs anime-style visuals. The game was developed by studio ROIGAMES and is a remake of 2001's White Day. The main protagonist of the game is a young boy who invited his girlfriend to his school during the night. He wanted to make a surprise for her because of the White Day (a Korean version of Valentine’s day). However, weird and terrifying things start happening in the building and getting out quickly proves to be difficult.

A third-person role-playing game that combines mechanics typical of the genre featuring elements of popular sandbox games like Minecraft, developed by Keen Games, the studio known for Sacred 3. The action of Portal Knights takes us to a fantasy world constructed with blocks, that consists of dozens of islands connected by magic portals. Centuries ago the world was torn to pieces, and players' task is to find a way to finally merge it.
