We assume the role of a colonial infantry commando entangled in a corporate war for resources. Our task is the neutralization of potential threats on spaceships, planetary mining stations, and other planets’ moons.

Players take control of remote-controlled combat robots, which are used on a daily basis to explore the planet's surface, and after hours they participate in licensed sports competitions. The game focuses on the rivalry of two five-person teams of players.

An online first person-shooter emphasizing intense action, teamwork, as well as tactical aspects. Burstfire was developed by Free Reign Entertainment - a studio comprising of the creators of Hawken. Burstfire focuses entirely on multiplayer - two teams comprised of a few players each, face one another by trying to achieve contradictory goals - while team one has to defend a spot, the other group is trying to conquer it.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward

The action of the game takes place in a fantastic universe, in which the modern Earth and the magical land of Embra are combined. The aim of players is to defeat mysterious Shadowlord and his legions, threatening both worlds. The gameplay mechanics is based on the rules of paper RPG systems.

The players, while on the side of one of the aforementioned factions, must stop the madman and fight for securing the status quo.

It has been created by an experienced German studio, Bigpoint, known from productions like Drakensang Online or Battlestar Galactica Online. The game's story takes place in a grim vision of the future in which parallel worlds fight for domination. In the fictional Empire City, fighters known as Guardians are tasked with closing time-space portals and bringing back peace to the universe.
Primal Carnage: Extinction

A free-to-play third-person action game designed mainly with multiplayer gameplay in mind. The title is set in the universe known from the cult Legacy of Kain series, although the story is unrelated to the previous games. The game was created by a small studio Psyonix, who worked on the multiplayer modes for games like Bulletstorm, Gears of War, or Mass Effect 3. In the game you can play as either a human or a vampire, fighting in a war for control over the world.

An interesting side view of the real-time strategy series. Unlike the previous parts of Command & Conquer, in this game each player controls one unit and fights other participants in online battles. The game resembles first person shooters, although it is presented in a typical style for the series (view from above). The creators prepared 23 units. Up to 51 people took part in the battles.

Project V13 is the code name for an unfinished Interplay MMO project. The game was to be called Fallout Online and take players into the well-known, postapocalyptic world of the future. Due to uncertainties related to the rights to the Fallout brand and the publisher's financial problems, work on the game was halted.
