Strategy 15 December 2016

A simplistic RTS developed by Flaregames. It is a mobile spin-off to a series of tower defense games created by Subatomic Studios. The game is set in the world known from the previous installments and the player fights servants of a crazy scientist known as Dr. Catastrophe during an extensive story-based campaign. The mechanics combine elements of classic real-time strategy games with some aspects of casual titles for mobile devices, such as Clash of Clans.

Action 03 February 2016

An unusual mix of an arcade shooter and a turn-based roguelike from independent studio OrangePixel. The story takes place in the year 2476, as a distress call from one of the lunar colonies reaches the Earth. A special group of soldiers is sent to investigate the circumstances surrounding the signal. The game mechanics are somewhat similar to what we have seen in Nuclear Throne.

A tactical RPG with turn-based fights, developed for mobile devices by Another Place Production studio, which was established by co-creators of the Fable series. The story of Battlehand takes place in a typical fantasy world, currently standing on the verge of destruction due to the appearance of the cruel queen, Amethyst, and her army of monsters. Faced with this threat, heroes of the past must dust off their long-unused equipment and arise to protect honor and justice.

An outstanding puzzle game (better known under the name of notSureAboutNameYet), created by independent developer Miro Straka. The title of Euclidean Lands refers to the mathematical term of Euclidean space, and we play as a wanderer traversing surrealistic lands made of cubic blocks. During his journey, the protagonist faces various puzzles, most of which come down to correct environment manipulation. We can freely rotate not only whole levels, but also single blocks – like in the Rubik's cube.

A third-person action game by Pixel Hero Games (the developer of Spiral: Episode 1). The title focuses on Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn – one of the most iconic characters from the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The plot is based on the first volume of the “Eisenhorn trilogy”, written by Dan Abnett, and depicts the initial period of the eponymous Inquisitor’s reign. Mechanically, Eisenhorn: XENOS resembles the Batman: Arkham and God of War series.

The story of Venture Kid revolves around a crazy scientist called Teklov who wishes to take over the control of our planet by means of a grand space fortress. A small boy by the name of Andy, who tries to thwart Teklov’s evil plans, turns out to be humanity’s last hope.

The plot revolves around strange anomalies that cause alternative realities and timelines to mix, thus allowing you to meet characters from all Start Trek films and TV series. You assume the role of a ship captain traveling through the galaxy to explore new planets and undertake important missions.

A licensed two-dimensional platformer for mobile devices, created by Ubisoft. When Gargamel casts a spell that covers the Smurfs' village with a magical fog, only one of its inhabitants manages to escape. Controlled by the player, he has to stop Gargamel and rescue his captured friends.

A sequel to a unique adventure RPG by inkle studio, and an adaptation of a popular gamebook by Steve Jackson and John Blanche. The story of Sorcery! 2 continues the tale of its predecessor and takes us to Khare, town of outlaws, where The Festival of Thieves is celebrated. Players have to discover the mysteries of the town, overthrow the council ruling it, and stop an incoming invasion.

The fourth (and, according to its creators, final) entry in the warmly-welcomed adventure RPG series from inkle based on Sorcery!, a popular gamebook from 1983. Like the three previous titles, Sorcery! 4 offers a completely new story, so knowledge of the earlier games isn’t necessary to play. Once again, we can create a completely new character or import our old hero from the previous parts of the series. The gameplay of Sorcery!

The Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast mobile game was developed by Roadhouse Interactive (the creators of Warhammer 40,000: Carnage) and 50cc Games. The title is distributed using the free-to-play model. In the game the player assumes the role of Eddie – the famous mascot of the band, well known from the covers of Iron Maiden albums.

A simple racing game for mobile phones with some features of an endless runner, developed by Soner Kara and his SK Games studio. In Traffic Rider we observe the world from the perspective of a motorcyclist, who is recklessly driving on a road filled with other vehicles. Driving model is similar to classic racing games – we can speed up, slow down, and smoothly control the bike's position on the road.

A funny arcade game by Flee Punk which focuses on… farting. In Gassy Mob, we assume the role of a bizarre creature that ate too much and started to fart. The fun boils down to farting on the inhabitants of a remote town, which makes them join the eponymous Gassy Mob. Its only goal is to take revenge for the insult that its members have suffered at our hands so they aren’t very friendly to us.

When the government spies reveal the true identity of the heroine, and some of her supporters get imprisoned in the Tower of London, the protagonist must set them free before the sunrise.

Blown Away: Secret of the Wind lets us assume the role of an unfortunate being named Hendrick whose house was torn to pieces by the wind. In order to gather all of its fragments, the protagonist has to traverse a number of distinctive locations that, naturally, are full of dangers. The hero moves forward automatically.

A fighting game set in the mythology of ancient Rome and Greece, developed by the experienced creators of mobile games from the French Gameloft studio. Its universe is inhabited by gods, titans, and other fantastic creatures from myths and legends. The game mechanics of Gods of Rome employs solutions similar to titles like mobile version of Mortal Kombat or Injustice: Gods Among Us.

The game belongs to the comedy fantasy subgenre and the player assumes the role of a possessed helmet worn by an unknown warrior who is trying to make his way through the subsequent floors of a dungeon. The place is filled with traps, monsters and treasures. The levels are generated procedurally and the gameplay itself is turn-based.

Being successful and popular among smartphone users, the game was finally released on all major gaming platforms. Badland 2 bears a strong resemblance to the first installment of the game. Once again you lead the adorable little forest creatures through dangerous levels and make sure that they reach the other end safe and sound.

Simulation canceled

A sandbox space simulator developed by a lone designer, Damiano Vitulli. The action of NovaVoyager is set in a distant future, when humanity colonizes new planetary systems. Starting out, we receive our first ship and then decide whether we want to pursue a career of a mercenary, a pirate, a pioneer, or a miner. We can also combine all of these to create our own path. The fun takes place in a galaxy that teems with life, recreated in 1:1 scale on the basis of genuine astronomical data.
