The gameplay in Ambition of the Slimes focuses on turn-based battles that take place on a tactical map. The fights are strongly unusual due to the abilities of the slimes.

A remake of the 2003 Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga developed by AlphaDream on Game Boy Advance. It is an unusual arcade RPG with turn-based combat. During the game, the titular Mario brothers have to join forces with their arch-enemy – Bowser, and together they set out to the Beanbean Kingdom to retrieve Princess Peach’s stolen voice. The 3DS release of the game’s remake features improved visuals with more polished character models and lighting effects that are much more pleasing to the eye.
