The game takes place in the 19th century Japan and tells the story of a young girl named Chizuru Yukimura, who travels to Kyoto in search for her father, a respected physician and scientist.

We assume the role of a veteran gunslinger whose family had been murdered by an unknown assailant. The protagonist embarks on a journey to find and kill the culprit.

First of those games is set in a grim castle, with players controlling Daniel, an amnesiac who must find and defeat the mad owner of the building. Its add-on, Justine, puts us in a role of a woman who is part of a psychological experiment.
