Beast Quest is an action RPG developed by Miniclip and based on the children's fantasy novels of the same title. The game takes place in the land of Avantia and the players will have to stop an evil sorcerer who used magic to make Avantia's various beasts go feral. The game is shown from a third-person perspective. Exploration and fighting are the gameplay's core elements. Battles take place in real-time. They key to winning them is to attack, parry, or block at the right moment.

The player's task here is to defend the kingdom against various fantasy creatures. When the memory of the tragic events that occurred in previous installments of the series becomes almost forgotten, the pizzeria that was closed for thirty years becomes renovated. The new owner intends to use the deadly past of the place as a marketing trick which will attract many customers.

Similarly as in its predecessors, the action of the game takes place on the planet Pandora, featuring a post-apocalyptic setting. During the game player controls a four-person squad that consists of characters known from first Borderlands game. Each character has unique abilities and specializes in different type of firearm.
