Zack Snyder's Space Opera Will Offer R-rated Version on Netflix
It has been confirmed - we will get Rebel Moon from Netflix in as many as two versions, one of which will be R-rated. The secret was revealed by Zack Snyder.
Zack Snyder definitely wants to spoil his fans. Not only that, this year we'll finally get to see the much anticipated sci-fi show he's collaborated on with Netflix, the second installment and also the director's versions are due out shortly thereafter. So it looks like there will be something to watch. From the words of the filmmaker, it seems that it will be worthwhile to return to this world on the occasion of the extended versions, which are expected to appear in the future. Why?
During an interview with Vanity Fair, the director of Rebel Moon revealed that he prepared both films in two versions - an adventure fantasy for everyone, and a more graphic and more powerful edition, exclusively for adults.
"I think that for my fans and people who are ready to jump into the deep end, it will be great fun."
So it looks like the extended versions of his works could be interesting and will be worthwhile if you are left unsatisfied after screening the basic editions. By the way, the premiere of the first part of this duology has been announced for December 22, and although the release date for second one is still unknown, Snyder argues that it is due shortly thereafter..
"It won't be long. Netflix can afford to do things that traditional studios can't, in terms of how close the films appear to each other."
And this is very good news, because if someone falls in love with the world of Rebel Moon, he certainly won't want to wait long for the continuation of the story.
