Available for several months, Redkit opened up entirely new playgrounds for players. The tool from the Polish studio is quite advanced and allows for the modification of practically everything we see on the screen. Modders can add new characters, techniques, and cutscenes. One of the mods will allow you to play as Thaler, Dijkstra, or a sorceress.

I hate portals

The modification created by Nikita Grebenyuk or nikicha340 "Custom Player Characters" allows exactly what the name suggests. The player can choose any character model and freely customize its appearance and other elements such as name. This means that you can run around as Dandelion and sing rude songs.

This alone is impressive, but Nikita went even further. If you choose the character of a sorceress, instead of mowing down enemies with a sword, you will be casting spells. They are assigned to basic signs and each has different actions. You can cast small tornadoes, strike opponents with electricity, and much more. The fast travel also resulted in exceptional animation. After choosing the signpost, your character will create a portal through which you need to pass.

Furthermore, a mini quest has been added, with new spells as the reward for its completion. Moreover, Nikita adjusted Geralt's animations in such a way that playing a female character doesn't look like a poorly executed puppet show. He also altered the voices, so you won't have to play Triss or Filippa sounding like they've just returned from a rough night.

The mod is available on the profile nikicha340 and will probably see further improvements either from the creator himself or other modders. At the moment, all the new features are shown in the video placed in the mod description.
