You Won't Get Far in Diablo Immortal Without Money
One Diablo Immortal player discovered many limitations hidden in the game. Without spending money, even grind will not be enough.
- Diablo Immortal has hidden restrictions that limit progression.
- Even when grinding, you will eventually crash into a wall unless you reach for your wallet.
- At this point, youtuber echohack has discovered seven such limitations.
The fact that Diablo Immortal contains a colossal amount of microtransactions is no mystery. After all, that's what most of the game's criticism is based on.
However, it turns out that this is not all. The game apparently also uses hidden restrictions that will force you to reach for your wallet.
Pay and cry
YouTuber echohack is a true veteran of Diablo Immortal. He had contact with the game in early alpha phase. So far, he spent as much as 1200 hours on playing the mobile hack'n'slash.
In the latest video, he confessed that he still really likes the game in question because of its gameplay. However, aggressive monetization is an insurmountable problem for him.
While playing together with his friends and analyzing the rewards, he came to some interesting conclusions. It seems that the game uses a number of restrictions, about which it never informs the player.
And they are so severe that even grind won't help you level up relatively fast. Unless you reach for your wallet, you will be bumping into a wall that will test your patience.
Hidden limitations discovered by youtuber
So far, with the help of friends, echohack has discovered seven limitations hidden in Diablo Immortal. Their list can be found below.
- After six legendary drops, your chance to get more on the same day drops dramatically.
- After completing five side quests in a day, you will not receive rewards for subsequent ones.
- After defeating five purple bosses in a day, the rewards will stop dropping from them.
- Random events will also stop earning rewards for the day after participating in five such activities.
- You can only visit Zoltan's Vault Orbs five times a day.
- Hidden Lair dungeons stop offering gems as rewards after completing several sections.
- When playing in a group of four, you have a higher chance of getting regular gems. After finding six, however, your chance of getting more drops dramatically.
Of course, these are not necessarily all the hidden limitations that are present in the game. Youtuber made it clear that these were the only ones he was able to spot relatively quickly.
It was even easier, because in the test version of the game these limits have not yet been introduced. Echohack, who has been in contact with Diablo Immortal for a long time, was able to notice the changes faster.
Unfortunately it's not a change for the better. The aforementioned restrictions make players, who want to play for free, lose. Even if they devote all their free time, they will not achieve the same results as the users who make their lives easier with money.
Unfortunately, it is doubtful that anything will change in this regard.
