Xbox Series X Presentation Will Focus Exclusively on Games
Microsoft announced that next week's Xbox Games Showcase will focus exclusively on games. There will be no mention of technical or business aspects of the Xbox Series X console.
In May, the Xbox 20/20 presentation was organized, and promptly turned out to be a big disappointment, because it did not show gameplays from video games aimed at Xbox Series X and too much time was spent on technical aspects of the console. Microsoft does not intend to repeat this error in the next event.
The company informed that the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase will focus exclusively on games. There will be no word about technical or business aspects of the console. The event will last one hour and will offer only gameplays and trailers of upcoming titles.
Such an approach is welcome, but at the same time it means that we are unlikely to learn the price of the device or its release date. This information will probably be known only in August, at the next Microsoft presentation.
Recall that Xbox Games Showcase will start this Thursday, July 23, at 9 AM PT. The show will take on the form of a stream, which will be available on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook, among others.
We expect that during Xbox Games Showcase we will see Halo Infinite, Hellblade II: Senua's Saga and Microsoft Flight Simulator. We're also expecting to see reveals a lot of new titles. It's possible that Fable 4 or other RPGs from Obsidian Entertainment will appear among the surprises.
