WoW Players Frustrated by Loss of Paid Mount
Tyrael's Charger was a mount that WoW players could get as part of a subscription-based extras. As it turns out, something at Blizzard went wrong and some users are losing this mount, even 10 years later.
Some mounts in World of Warcraft can only be obtained on special occasions. One of them is Tyrael's Charger, which you get when you pay for a yearly subscription. Surprisingly, some players started losing their mount for no reason.
Tyrael's Charger
The mount was available as part of a WoW promotion in 2011. So what could go wrong after such a long time? It seems like a lot. Cases of losing Tyrael's Charger are not new. Players who responded to complaint by FLUSKELOL have shared their stories, which go back as far as several years.
"Mine disappeared some time after Cata-Pandaria [between 2010 and 2012 - ed. note]. I never got an answer as to why... so it looks like there is some problem with the disappearance of this mount.
Edit: it looks like it was completely removed from the Mount Book (or was never there). I just checked a character I've had since Cata and even she doesn't have it in her log...," Maemora wrote.
"They removed it for me too some time ago. Every time I see that mount it makes me boil, I loved that mount, I paid for a year and blizz said: "no, lol," wrote XenoDrake.
Why is the mount disappearing?
The most likely explanation for this is a change in the means of payment, or the card itself from which the monthly fee was charged. As one player wrote, he managed to contact the GMs once about this issue. He settled the payment and the content he lost was returned to his account.
However, many users have complained about the current condition of WoW player support. Some people who try to contact the GMs get no response even after sending several messages (like the author of the post). This has turned the thread about the unjustifiably lost Tyrael's Charger into a place to complain about the GMs' work.
However, at the moment it does not look like FLUSKELOL will get his mount back.. However, it does not hurt to keep trying.
