Blizzard Will Improve WoW's Environments? New Buildings Give Hope
World of Warcraft may soon become beautiful. Fans have found refreshed building models in the game's files. Is it possible that the old world from Blizzard's popular MMORPG will receive new clothes?
Despite being almost seventeen years old World of Warcraft still remains one of the most popular - next to Final Fantasy XIV - MMORPGs on the market. However, age has taken its toll and Blizzard's title doesn't please the eyes as it used to. Nevertheless, it may soon get a partial facelifting - a member of the community gathered around WoW on Reddit, known by the handle Nilocor noticed that in refreshed models of some buildings appeared in the game's files. Some of them are posted below, and the rest is available here.
Reddit users began to speculate on the purpose of the discovered textures. Some, like user Zondersaus, assumed that it was a part of patch 10.0. Others, such as Bombkirby, went a step further and decided that we're dealing with a kind of foundation for a new city that will come to WoW in the next expansion. On the other hand, an internet user known as Deadagger insists on the same theory as Zondersaus, arguing that according to rumors, update 10.0 is to be significantly larger than the previous ones, and the refresh of the game map has been discussed for at least a few years.

It's hard to say for sure what the Blizzard developers are up to, but WoW's visual overhaul seems inevitable. The only question is when we can expect it, because Blizzard seems to be busy censoring its games (you guys know of any orcs who would be offended by being called greenskins?) than preparing new content. Who knows, maybe we'll find out more closer to the 17th birthday of World of Warcraft, which falls exactly on November 23.
