If this comes to be, these games will most likely be available exclusively in Game Pass Ultimate.
WoW and Diablo in Game Pass? It's possible
The situation with Activision Blizzard deal drags on endlessly. However, every cloud has a silver lining - as a result, we regularly receive new information from the gaming world, coming to light on the occasion of the release of more hitherto secret documents. One such report (page 161.), part of an official European Commission dossier dated May 15, 2023, reveals that:
"After the deal, Activision Blizzard games are likely to be included only in Game Pass Ultimate, as opposed to (and to the exclusion of) other cloud-based game streaming providers, which will significantly increase the importance of Game Pass Ultimate."
An interesting fact related to the aforementioned document is the information that suggests that if the acquisition by Microsoft does not go through, "Activision Blizzard is likely to start licensing its games to several cloud game streaming service providers". It follows that Diablo and World of Warcraft have a chance of coming to Game Pass in some form as well.
Game Pass is available on Xbox consoles and PC. If you want to have a subscription on both devices, Game Pass Ultimate comes to the rescue. Currently, the monthly fee for Game Pass is $9.99 on PC or console. The Ultimate version, on the other hand, costs $15 per month.
Finally, it's worth mentioning that Blizzard is slowly starting to make its games available outside Battle.net. Recently we reported, that the company will publish some of its titles on Steam. So far the only confirmed title is Overwatch 2, which will debut on Valve's platform on August 10.
