Sooner or later this moment had to come - Wordle appeared in Minecraft. To be more precise, the word game has been moved to the sandbox by user mattbatwings, who presented his redstone constructions on Reddit on numerous occasions before.

Despite appearances, recreating the word game was not an easy task. It took Matt about 16 hours to design a mechanism to guess words.

1. Gameplay in the Minecraft version of Wordle differs from the browser-based original.
2. The main difference is that the game requires two players - one of them chooses a word to guess and types it using a special keyboard, located behind the main Wordle board.
3. The task of the second player is to guess the word, but there is a catch - the word does not have to be an actual word, because the mechanism is unable to check it.
4. Therefore, when playing Wordle in Minecraft with friends you can expect unconventional five-letter words.
5. As for the game mechanics themselves, there is no discrepancy with the original - if a letter is in the word, the mechanism will highlight it in yellow, and if we guess its correct place in the word - in green. The player has six chances to guess the word.

How to play Wordle?

In this case, it is not enough to just type Wordle in Google.

1. To play the Minecraft version of the game, you need to download the map that Matt created and made available on Planet Minecraft.
2. After that, all you have to do is upload the world to your client and enjoy the game.
3. In terms of the game itself, it is worth mentioning that the mechanism based entirely on redstone is quite slow, so there is a significant delay between clicking on the letter we want to enter and it appearing on the board.
4. To reduce the wait time, Matt recommends downloading Carpet Mod, which enables us to speed up the passage of time in Minecraft.
