Wonder Woman is the New Game From Shadow of Mordor Devs
Monolith Productions is working on a Wonder Woman game. The title will use the Nemesis system from Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
One of the biggest surprises of this year's edition of The Game Awards was the announcement of the game in which we play as Wonder Woman, one of the most famous female superheroes of the DC Comics universe.
The project sparks great interest mainly because of the people behind it. Wonder Woman is developed by Monolith Productions, the creators of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, the first two installments of the F.E.A.R. series and the No One Lives Forever series.
Wonder Woman is an open-world TPP action game and the gameplay will resemble the one from the Monolith's games set in Middle-earth. First of all, the title will use the Nemesis system known from the series, in which enemies remember previous interactions with the player character and each time they avoid death they gain traits and power, making them eventually become a real bane for the player. This mechanic will also extend to the heroine's allies.
The game will be designed for single player and will tell a new original story. The trailer suggests that the action will take place on the mythical island of Themyscira, which will become a target of an attack, forcing the superheroine to defend the place where she grew up.
Unfortunately, the trailer didn't include any gameplay fragments. No hardware platforms or planned release date were revealed.
