Witchfire Devs Will Soon Reveal More Details

The Astronauts will soon share more details about Witchfire. Adrian Chmielarz's team will answer community's questions and mention, among others, the release date.

Over the past few years we've heard a lot about Witchfire, the new game from Polish studio The Astronauts, known for The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. Only that they were usually relatively short posts about single issues, for example, developers' inspirations or player comments. It's also been a long time since we got a more tangible "report" from the works. However, we're about to learn a lot more.

The Astronauts confirmed on Twitter that they will be sharing a wealth of information regarding Witchfire next week. For now, the devs limited themselves to posting a short, lasting literally four seconds gameplay video. They also encouraged people to ask questions on Twitter. Answers to these will be provided shortly.

Leaving aside the issues raised by Twitter users (including ray tracing and DLSS support), The Astronauts has confirmed that it will mention the game's release date. Whether it will be a specific date or just a rough estimate - we will find out next week. For now, we should be happy that the creators finally reminded us about themselves. After all, it's been over half a year since the last tangible info on Witchfire (as it's hard to consider assurances about "progressing work" as such).
