Who Will Francesca Marry in Bridgerton? Here's Who Will Become Her Husband
Season 3 of the Bridgertons featured Francesca Bridgerton's future husband. Who is he?
Warning! The following are spoilers from the Bridgerton TV series and from the book When He Was Wicked.
Bridgerton returned to Netflix with the part 1 of season 3. So we haven't get all the episodes, the 2nd batch will debut on the platform next month. But while Colin Bridgerton's story isn’t over, fans are already wondering who the partners of the rest of the siblings will be – including Francesca, the sixth child in the family and the third daughter. Her love story is told in Julia Quinn's sixth novel, titled When He Was Wicked, but it makes sense that it is launched as early as season 3, since it should play out over several years.
Of course, due to the fact that everything is already described in the books, we know who will become Francesca Bridgerton's husband. Interestingly, this heroine has not one, but two husbands. How did this happen? In the first place, Francesca marries John Stirling, the Earl of Kilmartin, with whom she was in love. Unfortunately, her beloved two years after the wedding dies by a brain aneurysm, leaving his spouse alone with the dream of starting a family of her own.
Francesca, after mourning the death of her beloved, decides to remarry to fulfill her dream of becoming a mother. One of the potential candidates is Michael, who is in love with her. He is a cousin of John Stirling, who inherited his title but, unable to cope with his grief, initially fled to India. Michael and John grew up together and were like brothers to each other, so the former was very much affected by the death of Francesca's husband.
Upon his return, it comes to Michael that he is in love with Francesca. Unfortunately, she doesn't see him as a viable candidate for a husband, so they have to go a long way and work through their feelings before something happens between them. Ultimately, Michael Stirling becomes Francesca Bridgerton's second husband, and the father of her two children, John Stirling II and Janet Striling II.
John Stirling in the TV show first appeared in the episode 3 of season 3 and is played by Victor Alli. Francesca and he immediately established a bond with each other, which will be developed in next episodes, and it is possible that before the end of season 3 this couple will marry each other. This would make it possible to realize the ideal plan to show the couple's two-year marriage in the next two seasons. Then season 6 of Bridgerton could, as expected, focus more on Francesca and Michael.
