Enshrouded is a survival game with RPG elements. To survive you must collect resources and upgrade your gear. One of the important materials is the Scavenger Matron Head, which is needed to upgrade the grappling hook. Unfortunately, however, it is difficult to find. From this guide you will learn where to look for it.

Where to Find Scavenger Matron Head in Enshrouded

Scavenger Matron is a rare enemy and only occurs in some specific places. As the name suggests, she can be found near Scavenger opponents.

  1. To find this enemy, you should look for Scavenger camps on the map. If they’re large enough, there should be a Scavenger Matron in them.
  2. Your best chance of finding a Scavenger Matron is in the Hill of Scavengers. This place is located south of Mistbury Catacombs and east of Moth's Grave.

Scavenger Matron is quite a challenging opponent. She wears a helmet that negates the damage inflicted on her head. Additionally, she deals area damage from poison. Matron’s weakness, however, is that she moves very slowly. So, it’s easy to dodge her attacks. Of course, you can also attack her from a distance, using a bow.

When you defeat her, you will gain Scavenger Matron Head. This item is needed to upgrade the grappling hook. This will help you to move around in the world of Enshrouded.
