Where to Find Ammonia Gland in Enshrouded
Ammonia gland is a material needed to upgrade the Flame Altar in Enshrouded. Find out how to get it here.
In Enshrouded, your base is powered by a Flame Altar. The structure also grants you buffs and increases the time you can spend in the Shroud, areas affected by a poisonous fog. To upgrade the Flame, you need specific resources for every level. One of them is the Ammonia gland, which is also used for crafting Spell Charges and Leather. We explain how to get it below.
Where to Find Ammonia Gland in Enshrouded
Ammonia Glands in Enshrouded drop from red mushroom-like monsters, found inside the Shroud in Umber Hollow, Highlands and Kindlewastes. Umber Hollow, which is the recommended area for farming, can be accessed easily from the Nomad Highlands Spire by jumping down with a glider.
Once you’re inside the fog, look for an area where giant, tall mushrooms and shorter round fungi grow like trees. Keep an eye out for glowing red spots. They will help you spot the enemy from a distance. The mushroom monsters move around on crab-like legs. They’re surprisingly fast and will chase you to spew out spore clouds. Either use ranged damage (Spell charges or Arrows) or dodge and roll after doing 2-3 hits to avoid their attacks. Aim for the glowing growths on their bodies to defeat the mushrooms faster.
You’re going to need Ammonia Glands not only for upgrading the Flame Altar to level 4, but also to make armors out of Leather, crafted at the Tanning Station. The Glands are also an ingredient for creating some of the Spell Charges at the Alchemist.
