Netflix has announced a new romantic comedy that will hit streaming later this year. Mother of the Bride will feature Brooke Shields in one of the lead roles, alongside Miranda Cosgrove, Sean Teale, Benjamin Bratt and Chad Michael Murray.
Mother of the Bride, as the title suggests, will deal with a wedding theme. Lana's (Shields) daughter, Emma (Cosgrove), returns from abroad with surprising news – she's going to get married in a month, with a wedding planned in Thailand. And while this announcement alone may have shocked her mother, the woman experiences even more surprise when she learns that her daughter's heart has been won by the son (Teale) of the man who once broke her heart (Bratt). It's the perfect mix for disaster to strike.

Mother of the Bride will hit Netflix on May 9, 2024. We're a little while away from the premiere, but it's sure to fly by quickly, and before we know it, we'll know what will result from the wedding disaster that Lana, played by Brooke Shields, will have to face.
