Disney+ has a surprise for Marvel fans, especially those who like old movies based on comic books, as a 2003 production starring Ben Affleck will hit the platform in May. It is, of course, about Daredevil, where Jennifer Garner played alongside the said actor. And because of her, the decision to make this production available just now on Disney+ seems interesting. Why? Because Daredevil will appear on Disney+ less than three months before the premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine, where Garner returned to the role of Elektra after many years.

When will Daredevil premiere on Disney+?

Daredevil is set to hit Disney+ on May 1, so we're not long away from the film's release on this streaming platform. Until now, this production could only be rented or purchased on other services, including Prime Video, Apple TV and YouTube.

What is 2003's Daredevil about?

In this Daredevil, blind lawyer Matt Murdock, using his otherwise vastly heightened senses, guards the safety of New York City residents by night as the masked Daredevil, The Man Without Fear. When Wilson Fisk hires Bullseye to kill Daredevil, who continually gets in his way, Murdock must track down the dangerous conspirators and deal with them himself.

In addition to Affleck and Garner, the movie stars Colin Farrell as Bullseye, Michael Clarke Duncan as Wilson Fisk, Jon Favreau as Foggy Nelson and Ellen Pompeo as Karen Page. The director and writer of this production is Mark Steven Johnson, who later also filmed Ghost Rider with Nicolas Cage.
