If you like adventure games with a certain degree of artistic value, you've probably heard about What Remains of Edith Finch. Some time ago we informed you that this title will be available for free on the Epic Games Store platform. Well... the time has come. From today until January 24, you will be able to download this game free of charge (the offer will begin in the next few hours).
What Remains of Edith Finch debuted on April 25, 2017 on PC and PlayStation 4 (on Xbox One release took place on July 19, 2017). This unusual game is a collection of short stories about the members of a family burdened with a mysterious curse. The events are observed from first-person perspective, which only increases the immersion of experienced situations. The title was developed by the independent studio Giant Sparrow, also responsible for the 2014 game The Unfinished Swan.
The production by Giant Sparrow's is not the first game available for free on Epic Store. Previously, we were able to download Subnautica free of charge, and the free period of Super Meat Boy ends today. This is the beginning of a larger initiative on the part of Epic Games, which intends to offer even more games free of charge until the end of 2019. Will such a strategy contribute to the success of the company's recently opened store?
