What Is the Canon Ending of Security Breach Ruin (FNAF)
Have you already played FNAF Security Breach Ruin and are wondering which ending is canon? You will find the answer to that question here.
Ruin DLC for FNAF Security Breach enables us to find out what happened after the events we know from the base game. Depending on our actions, Cassie's fate will come to a different way. However, is it known which version of the story is canon. That's what you'll find out in this guide.
Which ending of FNAF Security Breach Ruin is canonical?
FNAF Security Breach Ruin has three different endings (you can read about them here). Each of them crowns the story in a different way and could lead a potential follow-up story in a completely different direction. So the question remains. Which of these endings is canon? As expected, this is not known.
It is possible that only the next game in the series will tell us how the developers think the story truly ended. For example, in the case of the basic version of FNAF Security Breach there were six different endings. It was only with the release of the DLC that we found out which one was probably the official one. Indeed, the entrance to the destroyed facility is covered with newspapers talking about the earthquake damage. Thus, it blatantly indicates that canonically Gregory is confronting William Afton aka Burntrap. Indeed, it is in this version of events that we see Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex being destroyed.
All that is certain is that Cassie survives Ruin. Even in the ending that suggests her death, we can hear Roxy calling out the main character after the credits. This enables us to assume that she lives through the ordeal. Also, in none of the final credits is she shown leaving Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex. So it is likely that we will see her again in the future. Probably then the question of which ending is canon will finally be answered.
