We Won't Have to Buy Previous Hitmans Again, Hitman 3 Devs Assure
IO Interactive has issued a statement assuring that it is trying to solve the problem associated with the inability to transfer locations from the previous installments to Hitman 3. The work should be completed in the next few weeks.
Although the official release of Hitman 3 will take place in just two days, it already stirs considerable controversy. It's all due to the confusion surrounding the option to transfer levels from the previous two instalments to the third one on PC, due to the latter being available exclusively on Epic Games Store. There has even been some concern that we may have to purchase Hitman 2 again on that platform, even if we already own it on Steam. Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, apologized for the inconvenience and assured that work is underway to fix the problem. This was confirmed on Twitter by representatives of IO Interactive.
As you can see, the team from the Danish studio ensures that no one will have to buy again any of the two previous installments of Hitman series to enjoy the free maps in the third one. However, it may take a few weeks to resolve the difficulties with this option. Therefore, as previously announced, all those who pre-ordered Hitman 3 and those who will acquire it no later than ten days after the release will get free access to Hitman 1 GOTY Access Pass.
We would like to remind that Hitman 3, apart from PC, will also appear on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch (via cloud streaming).
