Devs of Watch Dogs: Legion continue to develop their game. Tomorrow the title will receive an update numbered 4.5. Among the biggest novelties which are to be introduced by the patch is the Legion of the Dead co-op mode, enabling us to fight against zombies. Initially, it will be available as alpha and only on PC. On the occasion of the announcement, IGN published exclusive material containing 21 minutes of alpha gameplay, available below.
The mode's premise is simple - the player (solo or with up to 3 other people) goes to a post-apocalyptic version of London. The game's aim is to get through the city to the designated escape point, avoiding not only zombies but also Albion troops. For this purpose, we can use the resources found along the way, hacking the encountered elements and using spider bots to fight. According to the announcement, the mode will be continuously developed based on the player feedback.
Along with the publication of the material on IGN, a short interview with the director of the online segment of Watch Dogs: Legion, Jean-Pascal Cambiotti has been published. According to the developer, the Legion of the Dead mode develops existing mechanics. Zombies, on the other hand, can be used for our own purposes, luring them to a chosen location.
Watch Dogs: Legion launched on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 29, 2020. Iy hit the 9th-gen consoles on the days of their releases - November 10 for Xbox Series X/S and November 12 for PS5.
