First, Shiro Games has planned the so-called Community Update, which will hit the game later this June. Its content consists of:

  • new equipment in the form of helmets,
  • improvements related to accessibility and Quality of Life features (read: minor improvements),
  • removal of all kinds of bugs,
  • "minor content".

In the third quarter of 2023 Wartales will see another Community Update, which will include:

  • new Paths, or character progression options,
  • extreme difficulty levels,
  • "interactive combat" and camp-related features,
  • balance improvements and bug fixes.

At the end of 2023 (in Q4), players can finally expect something big - it's when Wartales is expected to receive a paid DLC, which is to include:

  • a new map region along with a completely fresh story,
  • unique gameplay,
  • another character class,
  • items and skills.

By the way, the developers thanked players for their feedback and assured them that they will continue to listen to their voices. It must be admitted that so far they're doing quite well - Wartales has more than 91% positive reviews on Steam.
