Strategy RPG Wartales Leaves Early Access; Release Date
The exact release date of the tactical RPG from Shiro Games has been revealed. A few words were also said about the future of the game and a new trailer was made available.
During the Future Games Show the devs revealed when Wartales will leave Early Access. Version 1.0 of this tactical RPG telling the story of mercenaries in a world ravaged by the Great Plague, will debut on Steam on April 12.
On the occasion of the announcement of the full version of the game, Shiro Games revealed that Early Access of Wartales (which has been running since December 2021) has been quite a success - the game has moved more than 400,000 copies.
Wartales 1.0 - what does it introduce?
What will update 1.0 introduce to Wartales? With the debut of the full version there will be a lot of new content and changes to the game, which were taken into account after feedback from the players during Early Access. Among other things, version 1.0 will feature polished graphics and a brand new region.
The general list of changes and new features coming to Wartales is available below. Patch 1.0will offer:
- improved graphics;
- new arenas, champions and battle maps;
- new ruins, abandoned villages and secrets;
- more character customization options;
- additional balancing, skills and specializations;
- increased level cap;
- a new region (Alazar).
This is just the beginning of the adventure in Wartales
People who are concerned that the developers of Wartales will slow down with development after its release, rest assured. Shiro Games director Quentin Lapeyre revealed that the developers still have a lot to offer when it comes to this universe.
"The end of Early Access marks the beginning of a new adventure in which we still have many stories to tell, secrets to discover and throats to slit. So, friends, sharpen your blades and polish your shields, because the high mountains of Alazar will greet us in April, and their inhabitants are rather.... inhospitable."
Debuting on April 12, 2023 Wartales will be released exclusively on PC (Steam).
