Warp Trotter in HSR Explained; How to Catch and More
These inconspicuous mechanical pigs in HSR hide an important secret. Find out why players should look for Warp Trotter and what to do when you encounter them.
Two days after the launch of Honkai Star Rail, a futuristic turn-based RPG from HoYoverse, players have only one thing on their minds - hunting space pigs. What is a Warp Trotter and why is it so valuable?
What is a Warp Trotter in HSR?
Warp Trotter is a unique mob that the players can encounter in HSR. For defeating them, the player receives 60 Stellar Jade, currency that can be used in gacha to get characters or items - Light Cone. However, any seasoned fan of free-to-play games will quickly realize that there is a catch. Premium currency is usually earned for completing quests or from chests that can be opened only once. If it simply dropped from mobs, it would be too beautiful. At least, assuming it's an ordinary, respawning mob.
How to find Warp Trotter in HSR?
Considering the valuable rewards for catching them, it should surprise no one that Warp Trotters are very rare. There is only one Warp Trotter on each map where mobs can be found. Its presence can be checked in the upper left corner in the menu, in the tab dedicated to chests. What's more, Stellar Jade for catching a Warp Trotter can be obtained only once.
Warp Trotters will not appear in safe zones, that is: in Parlor Car in Astral Express, Master Control Zone in Herta Space Station, and major city maps of given locations, such as the Administrative District and Boulder Town on Jarilo-VI. If the player is unsure whether they can find the space pig in a given location, the chest tab will dispel any doubts.
Access to the locations where the Warp Trotter shows up may require the completion of certain side quests in a given location. Once you spot the mob, be careful! The pigs are very skittish and if you don't start a fight quickly, they will run away.
Don't worry if this happens, but also don't try to look for it all over the map. After some time it will return to the same place. However, if you managed to start a fight, be careful - Warp Trotter can still flee.
Warp Trotter - how to catch it
Although it may be difficult for soft-hearted players, once the fight begins, all attacks should be focused on the space pig. In the third round, the Warp Trotter will escape either way. For this reason, we do not recommend turning on Auto Battle, as characters may target other enemies.
It's not easy to point a weapon at something so cute, but fortunately, the game ensures that we only catch Warp Trotters. This is confirmed by the Tindalos Piggy achievement, which will be obtained after receiving rewards from one piggy.
