Warm Snow With Successful Debut; Hades in Chinese Clothes Goes Big
A game by Chinese developers has captured the hearts of Steam users. Warm Snow is another independent hit.
Warm Snow by the Chinese studio BadMudStudio is gaining popularity on Steam. Released on January 19, the game, compared by players to Hades, sparked great interest among fans of the rougelike genre. According to reviewers, the game is packed with action and attracts Western consumers with unusual aesthetics.
The game also features an extensive storyline. The eponymous warm snow fell from the sky, turning people who came in contact with it into monsters. The player assumes the role of a warrior named Bi-an, who faces five clans that hinder him from saving the world. The developers describe the title as "a dark tale of sword and snow." Tags on Steam also suggest that the game has several endings.
While traveling through locations coverd in snow and filled with magic, we encounter a variety of opponents. In the closed arenas, teeming with various beasts, only the right strategy and quick decisions will enable us to succeed. There are also fights with bosses, for which we prepare ourselves from the beginning of the adventure. We also decide on the character progression, customizing weapons and skills to our liking.
Warm Snow is BadMudStudio's first game. 91% of the 7,000 reviewers found it to be a good buy. At the peak of its popularity, it reached a score of 43,000 simultaneous players.
Three language versions are available: Chinese, Japanese and English. The game also offers full support for gamepads. The creators have also provided a free demo.
