We all saw it coming! Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is killing it, already breaking records after just one day.

Kingdom Come Deliverance racked up 500,000 sales in just two days and crossed the 1 million mark within two weeks of its 2018 launch, making an impressive debut. But the sequel has already surpassed that milestone, and it’s only getting started. Guess people were just quite hungry for more.

One million sold and still counting

Warhorse Studios just announced that Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has already sold over a million copies – just one day after its release. No surprise, considering it was the most anticipated title of Q1 2025 for many of us. The overwhelmingly positive reviews have certainly helped, and even the technical aspects of the game are top-notch.

What's even more heartwarming for KCD fans like me are the shout-outs from other game developers, congratulating the team on KCD2’s success. 11 Bit Studios, Chris Avellone, also shared their congrats, along with creators of The Witcher, who even offered to lend a silver sword from Gerald. And honestly, Henry could probably use one, seeing as we’re once again starting with practically nothing in our pockets.

I was a bit worried yesterday, since my KCD2 steelbook showed up pretty late in the evening

So, there's nothing more to say, except that we’ve got a solid GOTY 2025 contender, and of course, God be with you. Now, all we can do is sit back, relax, and share our experiences with the new combat system – plus a few tricks, like a mod for unlimited saving or using stones to knock birds' nests from trees. And of course, don’t forget to post your meal pics!

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
