Long Gameplay Finally Shows What VTM Swansong Actually is

Nacon presented an extensive gameplay from Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong. Several dozen minutes of material demonstrates, in a fairly detailed way, the various elements of investigation in the game.

There are only two weeks left until the release of Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong, and we still don't know how the gameplay actually looks like. Or rather, we didn't know until today. A few hours ago the game's publisher, Nacon, conducted a forty-five minute stream took place, featuring a longer scene, and various elements of gameplay were not only shown, but also discussed in detail. The recording is available below.

The first thing that draws attention is the character sheet, where can develop a variety of skills and disciplines of supernatural powers, known from the tabletop Vampire: The Masquerade. Then the presenters showed the actions the character can take during the investigation - interviewing witnesses, examining the bodies of victims, looking for clues, etc. Several environmental puzzles were also presented; for example, in order to hack into a found phone, one must discover the correct symbol and correctly draw it on the device's screen.

Only in the second part of the stream we can see some truly bloody vampiric tricks. The developer and publisher emphasize that the material does not come from the final version of the game, so we can expect that some of the presented fragments will still change. Let's hope that this applies to the facial expressions, because they are bizarre, to say the least.

As a reminder, let me add that Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong will be released on May 19th, on PC, PS4, PS5, XOne and XSX/S. The title is also expected to come out on Switch later in 2022.
