Isometric RPG Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Lullaby Announced
How about another game set in the universe of Vampire: The Masquerade? If you are in, you might be interested in the isometric RPG Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Lullaby, which will be released on Steam in the near future.
Fledgling indie studio Entalto has announced that it is working on an isometric RPG titled Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Lullaby - or rather a full version of a piece of work under the same title, originally created in less than a month and bringing its creatots first place in Vampire: The Masquerade Jam. This project, which is supposed to be a prologue to a larger story, will debut on Steam on April 21, 2022.
In addition to the above trailer, you can also find gameplay from Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Lullaby on the web - e.g. here. By watching it, you can familiarize yourself with everything that Entalto has created so far. However, if you're going to play this game, it's probably better to skip the video.
The price is not known at the moment - although it is possible that since we are dealing with a prologue, it will be available for free. What can we expect? About an hour and a half of detective adventure based on the principles of the tabletop RPG Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition. However, after finishing this small (for now) game, we may want to play it again, as it is supposed to offer making important moral choices and several different endings.
The action of Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Lullaby takes place in the titular Heartless club. In game we will be able to control two characters - mortal Zak Riley and vampire Diane (Kindred). Their intertwining fates will be observed on the background of the conflict between vampire sect called Camarilla which tries to stay in hiding and the fanatic Sabbat - a group which sees humanity as nothing more than cattle.
In addition, there are "dozens of NPCs," semi-open locations and vampiric powers - called disciplines - enabling us to influence the world through supernatural strength, cunning and evil charm. To some extent, the game will also use a system of good and evil similar to that of Dontnod's Vampyr. In other words, we will follow either our own humanity or the voice of the beast. It promises to be interesting, to say the least.
