Gamers Keep Playing Vampire Survivors; Creator Expresses Gratitude
The creator of Vampire Survivors thanked the players for the warm reception of the game. In return we got a declaration of further development of the title.
Last week we reported on how a certain inconspicuous $3 game had won the hearts of gamers. Since then, Vampire Survivors has grown even more popular since then. According to SteamDB, more players decide to buy it and the broadcasts on Twitch.tv have more and more viewers. The average rating, despite increased number or reviews, still remains "overwhelmingly positive."
The positive reception and growing number of players is extremely important information for the developer. Poncle thanked for the support with the new update:
"Once again I thank this wonderful community [...], it continues to exceed my expectations. I think the best way to express my gratitude is to keep my promises in Early Access."
In addition to the thanks directed at the community, we received information on the new features coming to the game. In version 0.2.10 of Vampire Survivors we get two new characters, three achievements unlocking additional content and a fresh arena. Besides, some bugs were fixed and animations of enemies were improved. There's also a streamer mode that changes the music in the Library, and the Linux and macOS versions are in testing. New Korean, Chinese, Japanese, German, French and Spanish translations have been announced for this week. A mobile version was also mentioned, but the current game engine prevents porting, so that won't happen in the near future.
