Valve’s next game is Artifact: The Dota Card Game
Valve has announced a new game - that sounds pretty exciting until you hear it is not Half-Life 3. The company is working on Artifact: The Dota Card Game, which is supposed to challenge Hearthstone in 2018.
Valve, the owner of Steam and the creator of the overwhelmingly popular MOBA Dota 2 is working on a new game. And nope, it’s not Half-Life 3. That one is a Dota franchise spin-off, called Artifact: The Dota Card Game, which the company confirmed during the ongoing Dota 2 tournament, The International. Artifact: The Dota Card Game is going to launch some time in 2018 and here’s a teaser:
As the title obviously suggests, this is a collectible card game, with which Valve will try to challenge the position of Hearthstone. The company did not reveal much about the gameplay, but it’s going to feature three boards, lines, sending out creeps and building barracks.
Besides, Brad Muir, co-creator of Iron Brigade and Massive Chalice, has confirmed he is in the Artifact: The Dota Card Game team.
