Valve Index VR is Back on Sale Today, but May Not Last Long
Valve Index VR goggles will be back on sale today at 10 AM PT. However, it is not known exactly how many copies will be available, so those willing to get one should not postpone their purchase until later.
Some time after the announcement of the new Half-Life game, subtitled Alyx, we learned that the Valve Index VR goggles, for which, among others, the aforementioned game is intended, have sold out practically all over the world. However, a few days ago the company informed via its official Twitter that the device will be back on sale on March 9, i.e. today, at 10 AM PT. However, it is not known exactly how many copies will be available, so those willing should decide to buy them very quickly. The set including base stations, controllers and goggles was priced at $1000. This and the rest, not including e.g. base stations or controllers, can be found at this address.
Those who already have Valve Index can visit two locations from the world of Half-Life: Alyx for free - one of the alleys of City 17 and Russell's laboratory. It is also worth reminding, that when we buy VR sets from Valve we get the aforementioned production for free. This game itself will debut in two weeks, i.e. on March 23. Its announcement has driven the sales of Valve's hardware, which should not surprise anyone. Fans had to wait almost thirteen years for the new release of their beloved series and even though they still don't know if they will receive the legendary Half-Life 3, developers at Valve indicate that they are not going to stop at the upcoming VR game. Alyx will be released on PC with support for Valve Index, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
