Valheim Patch Makes Hoeing Less Expensive

Yesterday, Valheim received patch 0.150.3. Apart from bug fixes and many improvements, the patch also made it easier to use the hoe, which was appreciated by the game's community.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Yesterday, Valheim received an update number 0.150.3;
  2. Apart from fixing minor bugs, the patch makes it easier to do terrain work with a hoe;
  3. The update also introduces a new terrain modification system that makes loading areas with lots of ground changes smoother.

Valheim, which took the sales charts by storm earlier this year, continues to do well and is regularly updated to fix bugs and improve the gameplay experience. The latest patch numbered 0.150.3 continues the course set by the developers. Among the changes that the fresh update introduces, players paid most attention to those that make it easier to shape the terrain with tools, especially raising the ground with a hoe.

The point that caught players' attention states:

"Lowered the amount of stone required to Raise ground using the hoe"

The change is supposed to help with the important aspect of building bases and preparing the ground for our buildings. As noted by players, 2 stones in our inventory will now be enough to raise the ground once instead of the previous 4, but there are some limitations that met with less enthusiasm:

"It is 2, but they changed/fixed the hoe so you can't raise ground up to an existing edge with one click anymore. Individual clicks now - I think the 2 stone cost won't get anywhere close to offsetting that," writes Rasdit.

A hoe is used to level and raise the ground.

However, not everyone is so pessimistic:

"I am so happy about this change I could not believe how fast I was blowing through stone just to level," notes 12temp.

What's more, the update adds a new terrain modification system to make loading faster and smoother for areas where the terrain has been heavily altered. In addition, the update fixes various bugs such as draugr spawning in the middle of rocks, and improves the world loading. The full list of patch notes can be found here.
