Valheim Mod Improves Graphics

Valheim continues to attract the attention of players and modders. One of them decided to introduce some visual improvement of the title, adding textures in completely new quality to the game.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • User aC0C0NUT posted his mod for Valheim on NexusMods. The project significantly improves texture quality;
  • The mod contains 255 new models, including vegetation items, wood and iron for crafting, as well as weapons and armor.

This is the eighth consecutive week that Valheim has topped the bestseller list on Steam. Over 6 million people have already played the survival game from Iron Gate Studio. Many factors contribute to Valheim's success, such as well thought-out gameplay and the atmosphere of a Viking adventure. All this wrapped up in one package with a very simple, somewhat pixelated graphics, which is by no means ugly, but may not be up everyone's alley.

For those who want something better, user aC0C0NUT has prepared a certain project and published it on NexusMods. The mod contains 255 improved texture models (including grass, trees, iron and wood crafting components, weapon and armor models, and much, much more).

The modification currently changes models and resolution of 255 objects, but the author emphasizes that work on Texture Pack is ongoing and over time more improved textures will appear. As for the development of the game itself, we are still waiting for the first major update, titled Heart of Stone, which will add a lot of new content in the aspect of agriculture or crafting. Unfortunately, at the moment we do not even know the approximate date of release of the update, so we have to be patient.
