Valheim Modders Fixed Big Issue With Inventory

Iron Gate Studio's viking survival game continues to gain popularity among players and inspire modders to action. Valheim has recently received a mod that will make inventory management much easier.

For the past few weeks we have been reporting on the achievements of Valheim, which after a successful debut in early access on Steam has been breaking subsequent activity records. The game's great popularity has also attracted the interest of the modding community, resulting in various mods - such as the one improving inventory management.

Valheim, as an early access game it is, still suffers from lack of general polish in some gameplay elements. One of them was a rather clunky inventory, which could be really annoying to browse. NexusMod user Randyknapp, author of the Equipment and Quick Slots mod came up with a solution.

Everything is now sorted and somehow neater

Until now, the players had no way to sort the items in their inventory, which could be quite frustrating - food, potions, armor items - all in one window. The mod deals with it by giving us two additional panels: one for clothing, the second for consumables such as potions. We also get a few keyboard shortcuts, thanks to which we won't have to open the inventory to consume something restoring stamina/HP (which was particularly annoying when running away from a group of enemies with scraps of health bar).

The mod is still being tested, and some owners have complained about occasionally disappearing items. Despite this, the Valheim community has appreciatedthe mod.
