Lord of the Rings in Valheim - Players Recreated Sauron's Fortress

Valheim players are using the game's building options in ever more impressive ways. This time, Sauron's fortress - Barad-dur - was recreated in the game.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • A group of players has built Sauron's fortress in Valheim;
  • The game is getting richer and richer with new, spectacular projects;
  • Other creators have recreated the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars.

Valheim hasn't yet reached the level of Minecraft-like grand designs, but some of the buildings created by the players already impress with the sheer volume of work needed to complete them. Among them is the fortress of Barad-dur, pulled straight from Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. Sauron's fortress overwhelms with its scale and size, as well as the thought of how much work went into its creation. The creators didn't share information about how much time it took them to build it, but undoubtedly it much more than just one busy evening.

To create such a large fortress, however, mods were needed. Players used the Forever Build mod, which enables us to completely forget the issues of building's stability. Sauron's Fortress was also made available for download on Nexus Mods. Thanks to this, anyone who wants to see the scale of the project for themselves can experience it on their own computer.

It's not the only project in Valheim that caught our attention because of the quality of execution and references to other film or literary worlds. The Millennium Falcon from Star Wars also appeared in the Nordic landscape. The author of the project was not hindered by the fact that the world is based on Scandinavian mythology. Han Solo's famous ship was built simply out of wood. Fans of more realistic buildings can admire the Colosseum erected by one of the players. The Internet is filled with subsequent projects of fans of the game, who are limited only by their imagination.
