New Editor Coming Soon to Fortnite; Facilitates Monetization
A new editor in Fortnite will debut later in March. Creative Mode 2.0 will be a kind of competition for Roblox.
If you are a fan of designing your own maps and gameplay in Creative Mode of Fortnite, then you might be interested in the upcoming editor for this popular Epic Games title. Especially since it will make it easier for you to make your own stuff. Today it was announced, that the beta version of Unreal Editor for Fortnite (abbreviated as UEFN) will debut on March 22 on PC.
What exactly is UEFN? It's an application powered by Unreal Engine 5, designed to create and publish your own content in Fortnite - entire games, not just individual maps, so it will be an important development of Creative Mode. So it's a kind of platform that can be compared to Roblox.
Thanks to the editor, anyone will be able to create their own content for Fortnite without having to sign contracts with the publisher. In addition, Unreal Editor will make it relatively easy to earn money from the created we content, as mentioned last year by Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games.
Unreal Editor requires a bit more skill than the Creative Mode, where creation was done directly in Fortnite. Among other things, the application will offer custom content design with modeling and material processing tools or VFX effects with the Niagara system.
