Uncharted PC's Mouse Sensitivity Depends on Fps, Causing Aiming Problem
The PC debut of the Uncharted series turned out quite well, but Thief's Legacy Collection has some problems on the platform.
The PC edition of the Uncharted series bundle has been warmly received by reviewers and gamers alike. Unfortunately, it was not without problems - the latter complain of problems with the mouse on PC.
On the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection forum on Steam, there have been quite a few threads in which users complain about the annoyingly rough movement of the mouse, which makes it difficult to aim or even look around in the game.
Mouse locked in frames
Many Internet users believe that this is the effect of forcing negative acceleration (i.e., to cursor assistance). The same was true of the PC edition of God of War, in which we could disable this option a month after the release.
However, some players give a different reason. Here's the thing - it looks as if mouse sensitivity is directly related to the smoothness of the animation. When playing at 30 frames per second, there are supposedly no problems, but at higher fps the mouse sensitivity drops dramatically.
Uncharted leaks on PC
In addition to the above, one can also find mentions of other shortcomings. In general, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is well optimized, but gamers report a glitch causing a memory leak.
You may associate similar problems with, among others, Anno 1800, as well as - again - the PC edition of God of War. In practice, this causes the game to take up more and more RAM, which eventually leads to a forced shutdown of the game. In the case of the Nordic chapter of Kratos' story, the leaks were patched in one of the first updates.
No repetition of Batman: Arkham Knight?
Less frequent are the threads concerning graphical "anomalies" and sound problems, which leads us to believe that they happened to a limited number of users. The same may be true of reports regarding the change of the key responsible for the action, which, according to the author of the thread on Steam - may even make it impossible to complete the game without reverting to the default setting.
Nevertheless, it is also possible to find quite a few reviews praising the Iron Galaxy team for a polished port. So it is appropriate to recognize the port of Uncharted: A Thief's Legacy Collection as a good one, not devoid of bugs (which, hopefully, will be quickly fixed in updates), but performing much better than the fiasco that was was PC edition of Arkham Knight.
