Lots of Blood and Grear Animations in First Gameplay From UFC 5
First gameplay footage from EA Sports UFC 5 has hit the web, and it shows the improvements that the latest installment of the series will offer.
Electronic Arts has unveiled new video footage from EA Sports UFC 5, the next installment in the popular series of sports games dedicated to mixed martial arts (MMA).
The video is noteworthy because it not only shows various elements of the game, but, above all, provides the first opportunity to see what the gameplay will look like in the title.
EA Sports UFC 5 will abandon the Ignite engine known from previous installments in favor of the more advanced Frostbite technology. This will provide a marked leap in visual quality, both in terms of level of detail and animation.
The devs also boast the Real Impact system, which will realistically reproduce injuries on fighters' bodies, even simulating such elements as swelling that grows over time. It won't just be a visual effect, and the wounds and injuries sustained will make combat more difficult. For example, if a character's eye is damaged, his defense stats will drop for that side of the body. Ground combat will also be improved, all elements of which will now be tightly integrated with the rest of the mechanics, instead of being separate mini-games. The game is also expected to offer weekly challenges inspired by actual fights in the real UFC.
Recall that EA Sports UFC 5 is heading to Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles, and is scheduled for release on October 27, this year.
In addition to the standard edition, a Deluxe edition is also available for preorder. It provides, among other things, the ability to start playing three days earlier, as well as additional fighters in the form of such celebrities as Fedor Emelianenko, Mike Tyson or Muhammad Ali.
