Ubisoft teases Far Cry 5; the series comes to modern America
Ubisoft has released several teaser trailers for Far Cry 5. The official reveal of the game is planned for this Friday.
Last week Ubisoft confirmed the existence of Far Cry 5, but so far the only information about the game itself had been rumors. Now, the French publisher decided to share a bit more about the next installment in their popular series of open-world first person shooters. Namely, they released four short videos “advertising” Hope County, a seemingly serene place, but with a brutal twist. Besides, the teaser trailers point to May 26, 2017 as the official worldwide reveal of Far Cry 5.
This seems to confirm the rumors about Far Cry 5 being set in modern day Montana State, characterized by vast green fields, wild forests and multiple mountain ranges. Other reports claim that the game will feature a police officer as the main protagonist. Acting as a vigilante, he has to deal with a rebel group that has taken over part of the northwester region of the state. We expect to hear and see more about the game at Ubisoft’s press conference during this year’s E3, and, obviously, during the official reveal this Friday.
